Privacy Policy

Effective Date: March 2026

Your trust matters to us. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and how we handle it. We keep it straightforward because we have nothing to hide.

Who We Are

We are The Original Galilean, operated through the Stress Free Initiative. Our website is oggalilean.org. If you have any questions about this policy, you can reach us at hello@oggalilean.org.

What We Collect

We collect information in two ways:

Email sign-up (via our website). When you sign up to receive our free excerpt or email list, we collect your email address. This is handled through MailerLite, our email service provider.

Google Form (book epilogue). If you fill out the form at the back of the book, we collect your name, email address, mailing address, and your responses to the reflection questions — including which of the seven drives resonates most with you, and any optional written reflections you choose to share.

Why We Collect It

We use your information for the following purposes:

Email address — to send you the free excerpt you requested, and occasional updates, reflections, and resources from The Original Galilean. You can unsubscribe at any time.

Name and mailing address — to deliver physical items, starting with the book's easter egg and potentially other materials in the future. We will only send you physical mail related to The Original Galilean.

Reflection responses — to understand what resonates with our readers and, with your explicit permission, to share your words anonymously to encourage others. We will never share your responses publicly without your consent.

How We Store and Protect Your Data

Your email and subscription data are stored in MailerLite, which maintains its own security and privacy practices. You can review MailerLite's privacy policy at mailerlite.com.

Form responses are stored in Google Forms, managed through Google's infrastructure. You can review Google's privacy policy at policies.google.com.

We do not store your personal information on our own servers beyond what WordPress collects in the normal course of running a website (such as comment data and basic usage logs).

Who We Share Your Data With

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to anyone — ever.

The only parties who have access to your data are MailerLite and Google, solely as the platforms we use to collect and manage it. They are not permitted to use your information for their own marketing purposes independent of our relationship with them.

Cookies

Our website uses standard WordPress cookies to maintain basic site functionality. If you sign up via our email form, MailerLite may set cookies to track form interactions. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies beyond what our service providers require to function.

Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you. To make a request, email us at hello@oggalilean.org and we will respond within 30 days.

If you are located in the European Union or California, you have additional rights under GDPR and CCPA respectively, including the right to data portability and the right to opt out of any data sharing. To exercise these rights, use the same contact email above.

You can unsubscribe from our email list at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email we send you.

Children's Privacy

Our website and content are not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Changes to This Policy

If we make meaningful changes to this policy, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. We encourage you to check back periodically. Continued use of our site after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
