The 20-Day Guide

What else does Jesus want from you?
He already answered.

What Does Jesus See in You?

  • A 20-day guided journey through what Jesus actually said.
  • One day at a time. About 15 minutes each.
  • Not a devotional. Not a self-help book.
  • Just a way to show you what he was really asking.

WHAT'S INSIDE

Twenty days. Four steps.
One honest question at a time.

Each day begins with a prayer. A short walk through Scripture, picking up one more piece of the answer. When the path gets rough, Jesus takes your hand. At the end, a child's voice makes it simple. Then you rest and let the day settle.

Jesus, you came to seek and save those who are lost, not to condemn their searching but to redirect their path. You understood that not all effort leads to satisfaction, not all movement creates progress. As I honestly examine where my endless pursuing has been taking me, help me distinguish between being busy and being fulfilled, between chasing dreams and living nightmares. Show me rest that comes not from having enough but from being enough. Give me courage to consider that the destination I've been seeking might not be where I thought it was.

Lord, open my heart to what you're offering. Let me discover the abundant life you promise. Guide me toward the rest my soul has been craving.

Amen. Day 1 – Opening Prayer

AUTHORS

A father who kept the same score.
A daughter who wouldn't stop asking.

Conrad Aquino, MD, is a physician, a TEDx speaker, and the award-winning co-author of What Does Jesus See in You? with his daughter Coleen.

Conrad's chest pain started at 13, like an elephant sitting on his chest. It kept coming back for ten years, until a doctor finally named it at 23: Prinzmetal angina, stress-induced cardiac episodes. Underneath the headline diagnosis were ulcers, panic attacks, and nightmares. He'd been raised in the Christian faith, and it was the first place he brought it. He prayed. He believed. He did everything faith told him to do, and waited for the peace it promised. It didn't come, so he assumed the shortfall was his and tried harder. More discipline, more devotion. Then he tried everything else too: positive thinking, meditation, mindfulness. Some of it helped, briefly, the way a good diet helps. Then life happened, and the burden came back.

It left in 2008, when he was 30. Not managed. Gone.

Later on, his daughter Coleen started asking when she was six. She'd grown up watching something move differently in him, with no name for it, and she kept asking what it was. Conrad had the answer, but not the words a child could hold, so every year he had to find them again, a little more plainly, for a bigger kid. She wouldn't let him get away with abstract. The ideas in this guide are hers. Conrad just found the words to carry them.

QUESTIONS

Fair questions. Straight answers.

Is this therapy?

No. It isn't therapy or medical care, and it doesn't replace either. If you're dealing with trauma, depression, or thoughts of hurting yourself, please get professional help now, and use this alongside it, not instead of it. If you're in crisis, call or text 988 (US).

Does this replace church?

No. It doesn't replace your church, your pastor, or your tradition. It's for the person in the pew who's still trying to do enough.

What if my circumstances are genuinely hard?

Then they are. This doesn't say a mindset fixes a hard marriage, a tight budget, or a sick body. What it goes after is the belief that the hardship is a bill you still owe.
